You need to trek a total of 71 km from day 5 Dharapani to day 11 to reach Tilicho Lake while staying overnight in several places.

You will be trekking over the heights of 4000 meters in this 15-day journey. You will be at 4200 meters high when you reach Tilicho Base Camp. You will explore Tilicho Lake, positioned at a height of 4919 meters, which is the highest-located lake on globe.

You will trek to Thorong Phedi at an altitude of 4450 meters before crossing Thorong La Pass. c) Difficulty and altitude sickness

The maximum hike per day will be 7 to 8 hours on the eleventh day when you visit Tilicho Lake from the Tilicho Base Camp and then followed by a return to Khangsar for an overnight stay and on the thirteenth day when you pass Thorong La Pass hiking from Thorong Phedi to trek to Muktinath.

e) Accommodation, Food and Drink

While ascending the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek, you will spend the night in lodges or teahouses. Simpler amenities like a twin sharing bed, cushion, and bedspread will be provided. There are also a few teahouses in Manag that offer private rooms with hot showers and associated bathrooms.

Hot showers and the use of electricity will cost you an extra charge, which is not included in your package. Like in any trekking destination, the more you go higher, the fewer facilities you can get. You will be accommodated in a decent hotel when you are in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Most of the teahouses offer typical Nepalese food with some Western dish options as well. The foods are hearty, fresh, and nutritious meals that will keep your body stimulated around the entire journey. They serve Nepali foods like Dal, Bhat, Tarkari, Momo Chow Mein, bread, etc.

You can also find drinks like hot lemon, ginger tea, lemon tea, garlic soup, and green tea that are healthy for your body. You need to avoid non-vegetarian foods and beverages while trekking. All the food items except soft and hard drinks and accommodation costs are included in our package.

f) Preparation and fitness

If you want to travelfor the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek journey, you have to get ready by being physically fit and healthy. This trekking is very hard for beginners however, they can complete this trip if they are mentally and physically fit with a lot of preparation and training.

You can get ready for this trek by boosting your stamina with activities like cycling, swimming, brisk walking, etc. for at least 30 minutes 4 to 5 times a week. You can focus on strength training by doing step-ups, squats, planks, etc. In the same way, you can go on regular short hikes with a backpack and eat nutritious meals to get ready.

g) Gadgets charging and Internet

The Annapurna region of Nepal has generally dependable internet service. However, because of the higher elevations, there may be irregular or no internet. The weather has a significant impact on internet service as well. The internet won’t be accessible for a while if the weather is too awful.

When using these services, you are responsible for the additional fee of electricity for charging your gadgets. h) Permit

You need to carry an Annapurna Conservation Area Permit, which costs around NPR 3,000 (about USD 25) for international visitors, NPR 200 (about USD 2) for SAARC nationals, and a Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) Card, which costs around USD 20 for solo trekkers and USD 10 for those trekking with a guide or travel agency.

You must complete the form, submit a copy of your passport, and attach two passport-sized pictures to receive these two permits. Once you arrive in Nepal, our organization will aid you obtain these necessary permits. Thus, don’t stress over it.

i) Transportation

We will take the local bus when traveling to Besisahar. From Besisahar, we will drive via private jeep to reach Bhulbhule so that we will reach here in time. Most of the days, we are walking on this journey.

Then, from Jomsom, we can drive or fly to Pokhara. If you want to go by flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara or vice versa, it will be your own expense.

j) Insurance

Travel insurance is required for the Tilicho Lake hiking journey. You must provide insurance documents that include emergency helicopter evacuation coverage before joining the trek. Insurance will assist you in injuries, air evacuation, emergencies, theft, loss, injuries, and so on, which will cover your extra expenses.
